HELEN
GARNIER,
Ph.D.
Chief Analyst, received her doctorate in
Educational Evaluation from the School of Education at UCLA.
She
holds also an M.A. in Research Methods from UCLA and bachelor's degrees
in Human Development and Quantitative Analyses from UC Irvine and Cal
State Northridge, respectively. She worked on both the
mathematics and the science portions of the TIMSS 1999 Video
Study. Helen also has worked as Principal Investigator,
Co-Principal Investigator, and Director of the Family Lifestyles
project at UCLA, on the Latino Study conducted at UCLA/Socio-Behavioral
Group, and on the LAUSD Local District Accountability Measures Project
at UCLA/CRESST. She currently works as a consultant on the
STeLLA
project.
